Changshu is a famous historical & cultural city with rich talents and excellent education services. As CSDZ is an important project in Changshu economic development, more talents gather here. Changshu Vocational Education Training School is located within CSDZ, and Changshu Institute of Science & Technology is only 8 minutes drive away.
There are 61,000 technical human resource and 330,000 skillful workers in Changshu. Every year about 4,000 local students graduated from universities and vocational schools in other cities of China return to work in Changshu. Changshu Institute of Science & Technology and other local education organizations output more than 5,000 specialized talents. Labor & Personnel Bureau of CSDZ helps newly-built companies with human resource recruitment. And several HR consulting companies have been established in CSDZ with complete HR hunting network.
The companies in CSDZ may not only hold training by themselves, but also consign skills-oriented traing to Changshu Institute of Science & Engineering, Changshu Vocational Education Training School, Changshu Personnel Qualification Test Training Centre, and other training institutions.
Changshu Institute of Science & Engineering is an important training centre for CSDZ. It covers 37 majors such as Mechanism, Chemistry, Electronics, Information Engineering, Material, Economic Management, etc. in 16 departments.
Education
There’re total 295 schools of all kinds in Changshu, including 1 higher education college, 8 intermediatary vocational schools, 41 middle schools, 44 adults education centres, 1 advanced studies institution, 1 special education school, etc.
At present, there are nearly 150,000 students on campus and more than 10,000 teachers in position. And high school education has been popularized in Changshu. Matriculation rate of Changshu in 2004 entrance examination reached 93.2%.
